Knowledge sharing made easy through ADT
A UOW student researching a particular author was able to share her thesis with specialists in the same area through ADT. The student was a member of an international, specialist email discussion list where fellow members were keen to see her research. By providing her colleagues with the URL for her thesis she was able to provide them with access to her thesis from remote locations.
ADT simplifies access to theses
A recently completed UOW thesis was requested by another Australian University. Instead of sending the thesis away to be microfilmed, the author provided the library with an electronic copy of the thesis. Within a few weeks this thesis was digitised and made publicly available via the ADT database. This saved both libraries considerable amounts of time and work-- a microfilm usually takes 6 weeks to be processed; and the requestor was given faster and easier access to the thesis.
ADT helps student gain research position
A UNSW digital thesis was found on the Web and browsed by an international company in Japan. The company contacted the author of the thesis and further research was conducted. The student then gained a research position with that company.

Follow Me Printing
Everyone hates to queue. With this in mind, we have introduced Follow Me Printing. You can choose any free printer/copier in the Library or a printer in the Student Central labs to release your print job.
How does it work?
