Visiting the Library

You are welcome to visit the UOW Libraries and make use of our facilities, resources and staff expertise. Full services are available to Alumni Library members at the Main Library.

Services will vary at locations other than the Main Library. For further information on other Library locations, please contact your local library.

Within the Main Library, we offer access to extensive resources, including:

• Over half a million books
• Close to 200,000 print journals volumes
• A growing leisure reading collection
• Major newspapers from around the world*
• Reference works, encyclopaedias and dictionaries*
• CDs and musical scores*
• A specialist Law Library*
• Maps and geographical resources*
• Theses*

Our collection is growing all the time, with hundreds of new books purchased each month. You can keep up to date with the latest titles in your discipline by checking the New books list on the Library website. Come into the Library and browse the books available in your area of academic interest. Alternatively, you may like to pick up a new leisure reading title to take home and enjoy.

The Library's friendly staff are available to assist with any research questions during opening hours. We can help you to locate resources on any topic and get to the information that you really need. Ask at the Research Help Desk in the Library foyer for more information.

Computers, printing and photocopying

Limited computer access is available to Alumni Library members in the Main Library. Computers may be used for word-processing and other software functions. However, Internet access is only available to current students or staff of the University.

Printing and photocopying facilities are available to all visitors to the Library. Please talk to our staff if you have any questions or require assistance.
