Connecting to Library printers using Windows Vista

  1. From the Start menu, open Control Panel, then Printers
  2. Click Add a Printer
  3. In the Add Printer Wizard, select Add a network printer, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
  4. In Searching for available printers…, select The printer that I want isn’t listed.
  5. In Find a printer by name or TCP/IP address check Select a shared printer by name, and type \\130.130.51.5\ in the input box.
  6. A dropdown menu will appear listing all the available printers. Select the one you wish to use from the list, and click Next. Answer Yes to install the printer driver. If you receive an error message whilst installing the new printer, ignore this and press Next to continue the Wizard. Give the new printer a name or accept the suggested name, and press Next. You should receive a message confirming that you have successfully set up the new printer.
  7. Click Finish to end the Add Printer Wizard.

\\130.130.51.5\First Floor Printer Library (Bld 16) – Level 1
\\130.130.51.5\Media Room Printer Library (Bld 16) – Ground Floor – Media Room
\\130.130.51.5\Second Floor Printer Library (Bld 16) – Level 2
