UOW Archives

The UOW Archives team manage, preserve and provide access to physical and digital archival materials relating to:

  • the corporate and social history of UOW
  • materials of historical significance to the Illawarra region
  • materials of relevance to UOW teaching and research

We offer collection expertise and provide reference support for the UOW community, external institutions and bodies, and members of the public.

COLLECTIONS

Archives and Manuscripts (Research) Collections - comprised primarily of records from different individuals, groups and local organisations

Historical Subject Files Collection - comprises interviews conducted with people from the Illawarra region

Illawarra Regional Collections - curated subject based research materials curated by Archives staff

Oral History Recordings Collection - a list of the above collections arranged by subject

Artefacts and Ephemera Collection - comprised primarily of pamphlets, posters, photographs, maps and object

Rare Books Collection - comprises materials considered rare because of age, uniqueness or physical beauty

University Records Collection - a range of records documenting the corporate, academic and social history of the University of Wollongong
