Collections in the Archives
Overview of the collections
The University Archives holds a wide range of archival material, with a particular emphasis on labour history and politics, as well as the broader history of the Illawarra region. The various holdings are divided into the following collections:
University Records
Administrative records, reports and other material about the University
(accessioned as the 'U' Collection)

Archives and Manuscripts
Substantial collections of archival records acquired from local organisations
and individuals (accessioned as the 'D' Collection)

Historical Subject Files
Small collections of booklets, pamphlets, etc., arranged by subject
to complement the Archives and Manuscripts collection (accessioned as the
'C' Collection)
Oral History Recordings
Audiotapes of interviews with Illawarra residents (accessioned as the
'B' Collection)
Artefacts and Ephemera
Books, maps, posters, etc., not arranged by subject (accessioned as
the 'A' Collection)
Other holdings and listings
Descriptions of several other smaller holdings, as well as various
lists compiled by Archives staff
The items in the above collections (with the exception of certain published
reports, journals and newspapers) are not listed on the Library Catalogue.
