Creative spaces for you to meet, design, create and learn through the use of tools and technology.

Project funded by SAF

The Wollongong campus library will soon install a MakerSpace and MediaSpace on the ground floor. Both SAF funded spaces will open in early 2017 and will offer UOW staff and students the opportunity to experiment with the latest prototyping tools and technology, and to collaborate on creative projects.

The project team behind the Makerspace completed extensive research, visiting numerous Makerspaces around the country, including:

The team also consulted with UOW students and staff to ensure the design of the space meets their needs, with hardware, software and technology that will encourage innovation and creativity.

The space will provide access to tools, such as 3D printers, soldering irons, virtual reality headsets, digital recording programs and much more. Share your ideas about other tools and technology for the Maker/MediaSpace.
